Is Your Logo a Go?

Graphic forms and symbols exert a profound influence on our perceptions of people, places, and institutions. In this Unit, eight- grade students took a role of graphic designers and delved into the power of visual communication through symbols.

As a foundational exercise, students began by designing their own personal logos, exploring the ways in which graphic elements can represent individual identities. Building upon this knowledge, they then ventured into the realm of corporate branding, developing logos for their imagined future companies.

Through these projects, students gained a deeper understanding of the role of design in shaping public perception and building brand identity. They learned how to effectively utilize graphic forms and symbols to convey messages and evoke emotions.
