Story Telling in Art

This collaborative project aimed to empower students to become artivists and advocate for social equality. Working in groups, students identified relevant issues of inequality and developed a cohesive narrative using lino prints. The final product was a foldable booklet showcasing five interconnected lino prints that addressed these issues.

Students were guided through the process of researching and discussing various forms of inequality and their impact on society. They developed a strong narrative and theme for their collaborative project, focusing on creating a visual story that promoted inclusion and addressed social challenges.

With instruction on lino printing techniques and materials, students acquired the necessary skills to create their artwork. Throughout the project, the importance of collaboration, communication, and critical thinking was emphasized.

By the end of the unit, students demonstrated their understanding of social inequality, their ability to create a cohesive narrative, and their technical skills in lino printing. The project served as a powerful platform for students to raise awareness and advocate for positive social change.
