The artwork is addressing gender equality, showing the women imprisoned but the societal norms, but at the same time branches are growing from here, breaking the boundaries of the cage.

Artivism - Art For Change

In various units, students explored the transformative power of art as a catalyst for change. By becoming artivists, they learned the potential of visual expression to address pressing global issues and inspire positive action.

Students delved into different forms of art and activism, investigating contemporary and relevant topics to express through their artworks. They analyzed examples of effective art and activism, gaining insights into how these works communicated with audiences and inspired change. Through artist research, they discovered how art can address pressing social, political, economic, and ecological issues, and explored the potential for their own artworks to make a meaningful impact.

While the outcomes of these projects varied, they consistently served as sources of inspiration. Students were empowered to use art as a tool for social change, leaving a lasting impression on themselves and their communities.
